The Key To A Successful Lent

PRECISION PERFORMANCE

With today being the 1st of March and the start of lent I am sure you have decided you are going to make some cut backs in order to get in better shape for the coming summer months.

Just like any other goal you set for yourself the approach needs to be realistic and sustainable. Making too many changes at once is only going to be overwhelming and will set you up for failure.

Lent is a great time to take advantage and make some beneficial changes you can implement to improve your overall health, fitness and quality of life.

For instance over the next few weeks you could simply set goals as simple as:

  • Making more time for loved ones
  • Cutting back on time spent on social media
  • Joining a gym
  • Cutting back on refined/processed foods
  • Rekindle old relationships
  • Reduce/quit smoking and alcohol consumption
  • Strive for 8 hours of good quality sleep
  • Cut out sugary drinks

Take home message

When trying to adhere to a new task make sure you’re not taking on too much at once. For example giving up smoking is going to be enough of a challenge on its own, you don’t need to added stress of trying to cut out all processed foods and joining a gym on top of it.

Set a goal and surround yourself with people who are going to empower you and keep you on the path to achieving it.
